HOW DOES LEARNERS’ GRAMMATICAL ACCURACY COME ABOUT WHEN LEARNING OCCURS COOPERATIVELY?

| dc.description.abstract | This study attempts to investigate the impact of small group interaction on EFL learner’s grammatical accuracy achievement, methodological field experiments had been carried out with a sample of 30 students in the Department of English Language and Literature at M’sila University. And for the purpose of extending the research scope into the social and cognitive dimensions, we went further through firstly analyzing the learners’ interactive contexts using the Interaction Analysis method to investigate the existence and the frequency of the speech functions that might account for this effectiveness; and secondly the introspective method through exploring the effect of that interactive context on the involvement extent of some of the cognitive processes underlying grammar learning. The obtained results indicated that learner’s cooperative work had a positive effect n EFL learners’ grammar achievement; and that the smaller the group the more efficient in the learners’ interaction. Additionally, the group work impacted the extent of some of the cognitive abilities involvement depending on many factors. The research study brought to light many other results. ..............................................................................تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحديد أثر التعلم التعاوني على أداء المتعلم في دقة استعمال التراكيب النحوية داخل النصوص شكلا ومعنى. تم اعتماد المنهج التجريبي مع عينة تحوي ثلاثين طالبا تمثل مستوى السنة الأولى بمعهد اللغة والأدب الانجليزي بجامعة المسيلة. وبغية توسيع مجال الدراسة تم استخدام منهج تحليل الحوار كي يتم التعرف على المهارات الحوارية التي كانت وراء أثر التعلم التعاوني، كما تم اعتماد منهج الاستبطان بغية التعرف على المهارات الذهنية التي كانت وراء هذا الأثر. نتائج الدراسة أكدت الأثر الايجابي للتعلم التعاوني، كما بينت أن هذه التقنية تكون أنجع كلما قل عدد المتعاونين في المجموعة، كما أثبتت أن هذه التقنية لها أثر على مدى استعمال بعض المهارات الذهنية دون أخرى وفقا لعدة عوامل، كما أعطت الدراسة نتائج أخرى. | en_US |
